Market Dynamics in Healthcare

  • Biotechnology is becoming more important; this means that the supply chain is getting colder and more critical to temperature variations.More products need to be stored within refrigerated, frozen, deep frozen and ultra low temperature controlled zones.
  • Regulations are becoming more stringent: the chain is more temperature controlled, even for ambient products; controlled ambient is +15 to +25°C.
  • Home delivery: more treatments are being conducted as day cases; more healthcare products are administered within the patient’s homes.
  • Globalisation and Security, the nature of the supply chain requires visibility and authentication, drugs need to be tracked and traced throughout the supply chain, including administration.
